Participant Transformations

The Family Outreach program has witnessed some incredible transformations in its participants.

Jonathan, a 15 year old boy with cerebral palsy and severe developmental and physical disabilities, was almost completely non-verbal when he first attended the Outreach Program.

The program’s therapies and activities have helped her to gain independence and confidence.

Another participant, Ella, came to the program at age 5 and a half experiencing considerable developmental delays.

She was unable to walk, or to feed herself. The program’s therapies and activities have helped her to gain independence and confidence. Ella, now 8, is able to walk, perform some daily tasks with limited assistance, and participate fully in creative activities. *Names have been changed.

He has participated in every cycle of the program, and is now able to sit still, and focus on activities for short periods of time.

Tim, a 6 year old boy with autism, began attending the Family Outreach program in its first cycle. Tim has an unregulated sensory system that manifests in an inability to relax or be motionless for even a few seconds.

He was constantly running, completely non-verbal, and unable to maintain eye contact, relate to others, or communicate his needs. After several sessions, Tim began to use gestures to communicate and took a liking to a swing in the gross motor room, whboy in ballsich provided him with positive sensory stimulation. He has participated in every cycle of the program, and is now able to sit still, and focus on activities for short periods of time. His mother and father have commented on how much their home life has improved, and how much Tim has learned from the program. *Names have been changed.
